About

The Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) chapter at Texas State University is an on-campus student-led organization that aims to provide students with enriching insight into the world of medicine. The HOSA chapter at Texas State University does this by offering:

  • General meetings with medical profession speakers
  • Volunteer service hours
  • Suture clinics
  • Study days
  • Medical school tours
  • First Aid Simulations and Training
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • CERT Certification/training and volunteer opportunities

Additionally, HOSA-Future Health Professionals is a global student-led organization, whose mission is to promote career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people.

While we do have a focus on medical careers and general health professions, we are open to everyone with an interest in healthcare regardless of Major! Meetings and volunteer events are open to all unofficial members and official members have access to trainings, CERT events, Hospital Volunteering, and more!

Fee Breakdown:

Membership Fee (Recurring)- $25 for non-graduating students

$10 for Graduating students

 

Training Fees (One Time)- $55 CPR+AED Training/Certification

$55 First Aid Training/Certification

Time: 6:30pm-8:00pm

Place: Ingram Engineering Building
